Matthew Stein’s Book Will Help You Survive When Technology Fails

Recent events in Egypt have shown how precarious things can be when ordinary everyday life is thrown off balance. Just the disruption of the Internet would be enough in this country to send many into spasms.

How would we face a major collapse in this country? What if our government puts the clamps on the Internet? What if water and electricity are deliberately cut off in some areas as a means of controlling the population?

Or it could be an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) that knocks out technology and sends us back to the 1800’s.

What would you do in the event of the loss of modern technology? What supplies would you need? What skills? Matthew Stein asked himself these questions and wrote a book for you as a result.

Your survival library needs a copy of Matthew Stein’s book, When Technology fails. The current edition has been revised and updated. It’s this week’s DestinySurvival Amazon Pick of the Week. It’s rating is 4.0 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com.

If we lose part or all of our technological capabilities, at least it won’t be as if we’ve been plunked down in the middle of the Brazilian jungle with nothing. We have many items made from plastic, fiberglass or other synthetic materials which didn’t exist in centuries past. We have batteries and solar panels. The list could go on.

Still, what would most of us do? It’s important to have provisions for both short term and long term survival. That’s what Stein covers in his book. And it doesn’t matter if you’re looking at survival from the point of view of a newbie, an experienced backwoodsman or if you’re concerned about saving the planet.

When Technology Fails is described as a compendium of sustainable living. Stein interjects personal stories into the info he provides on subjects like creating a survival mindset, companion gardening and alternative medicinal therapies, to name a few.
You’ll also find what you’d expect, such as info on hunting and foraging, wild edibles, building materials, and more. Stein includes resources for further exploration into the topics he covers.

One reviewer says you have to weed out “New Age garbage” to get through Stein’s book. But whether you’re concerned about environmental issues, political chaos, or some other cause for collapse, this book contains a wealth of useful information.

If you’re interested in replacing high tech with low tech solutions for any reason, get a copy of When Technology Fails. Click on the image of the book to order it from the Amazon.com page where it’s featured.

Remember, books like this will be around long after Twitter and Facebook are nothing more than fond memories.

As an added bonus to today’s post, watch these videos featuring Matthew Stein discussing what he thinks ought to be in a Grab and Run 72-hour kit. He also discusses the six global trends he believes will lead to inevitable collapse. Then get your copy of When Technology Fails.
