Marjorie Wildcraft Offers Summer Survival Gardening Tips
September 10th, 2012 by John Wesley Smith
It’s been a tough gardening year for many of us around the country with this summer’s drought conditions. While we may be headed for fall soon, it’s not too early to think about next year. Or just surviving the rest of this one. Black-eyed peas, okra and sweet potatoes hold up well during summer’s hot and dry conditions. But plants like lamb’s quarters, nutsedge (also called chufa) and cannas do well, too. And they have edible parts. Watch the video below for Marjorie Wildcraft’s thoughts on summer survival gardening.
