My Square Foot, Ruth Stout, Hugel-Something-or-Other /Survival Gardening

For some time now I’ve been meaning to write a post and show pictures of my modified square foot gardening endeavors this season. I decided instead to do a video slide show. That’s what you’ll see below.

The video lasts a little over four and a half minutes and gives an overview of my survival gardening version of square foot gardening. It’s modified to include techniques from Ruth Stout and Hugelkultur. Emphasis is placed on building up friendly soil microbes.

The more survival gardening you and I can do to grow our own food, the better. While you’re at it, be sure to feed the soil so your plants get fed. Then they can feed you.

Not all of the soil building products mentioned in the video are pictured. The bags of soil, molasses and a couple other things were purchased locally. Get Myco Blast and Soil Blast by clicking on the ad below.
