It’s time to discover how to survive an economic collapse like Argentina’s. What would someone who’s been through it advise?
The answers are in the book I’ve chosen as this week’s DestinySurvival Pick. It’s The Modern Survival Manual: Surviving the Economic Collapse, by Fernando Ferfal Aguirre. He’s lived through the collapse in Argentina and has written his book based on that experience.
Fernando Ferfal Aguirre says his book is about attitude and being more capable. It deals with a variety of things relevant for ordinary people. There’s even a section with advice from his wife.
Here’s what Amazon.com says about the author:
“Fernando “FerFAL” Aguirre is a father, husband and survivalist that has lived through the Argentine socio-economic collapse of 2001, and the consequences such collapse had in the years that followed. He’s the author of numerous articles found on line and is recognized among the survival and preparedness community for his personal experience and no-nonsense approach to survivalism. He’s also the publisher and owner of “Surviving in Argentina”, a blog he keep up with updated articles, posts as well as reports of the situation in Argentina.”
* Prepare your family, yourself, your home and your vehicle.
* Prepare your finances so that you don’t suffer what millions in Argentina went through.
* Prepare your supplies for food shortages and power failures.
* Correctly fight with a chair, gun, knife, pen or choke with your bare hands if required.
* Reach a good awareness level so you can avoid having to do all of these.
Am I saying you should be reluctant to stock up for fear of what the government might do? Right now the government appears to be on the side of preppers by encouraging the public to have a minimum of three days of food, water and supplies to face emergencies.
Fernando Ferfal Aguirre relates what took place in Argentina. We would do well to be aware and informed. Remember, survival means thinking the unthinkable.
In an economy that’s gone belly up, the government will do what it believes it has to in order to stay in power. Life may be greatly regulated and restrictive for the average citizen. You and I will need to know how we should deal with that when the time comes.

One reviewer describes this book as honest and brutal. That’s what we need when it comes to prepping for survival in a world gone mad. Remember, after major turmoil, life will still go on. But it will most certainly be different. How will we cope?
