Practice Your Shooting Skills and Save Money on Ammo With a Tactical Solutions 2211 Conversion Kit

Practicing your shooting skills is an important part of preparedness and personal defense. If you like shooting your .45, you already know that .45 ammunition is more expensive than shooting the same amount of .22 ammo. That problem has been compounded with periodic ammo shortages and the higher prices of ammo across the board.

There’s a solution from Tactical Solutions. It’s the 2211 Conversion Kit for 1911 pistols, and Brownells has it. It was favorably reviewed in the November 2010 “Guns & Ammo” magazine by Doug Larson, starting on page 86.

Larson noted it’s cheaper than buying a second gun. He fired several loads from Winchester, Federal and CCI with good results, including good accuracy.

Larson says the 2211 Conversion Kit was easy to install on his Springfield Armory 1911-A1. A couple of reviewers on Brownells site tell somewhat of a different story, but that’s because some fitting may be needed for different 1911 frames. I recommend viewing the product info and reviews at Brownells for specifics.

According to Brownells, the Tactical Solutions 2211 Conversion Kit is made in the USA and is a complete .22 LR conversion system which comes fully assembled and ready to install on your 1911 Government model or Commander.

Use it to help you practice critical shooting skills with economical rimfire ammo. The recoil is notably less with .22 ammo, and you can concentrate on improving grip, sight alignment, trigger pull, breath control, and other skills without burning up expensive, full-power ammo.

Brownells says to install, you simply remove the slide as if you’re field stripping, and replace with the 2211 slide/barrel assembly and 10-round rimfire magazine. The gun will function normally. The slide even locks open after the last round is fired.

The 2211 Conversion Kit is precision machined from high-grade steel to the same high standards of workmanship as a custom quality competition pistol. You can see a more complete description and specs on the Brownells site.

Click on the Brownells banner below. Then type the number 100-003-848 in the search box on their sidebar. You’ll be taken to a page showing the 2211 Conversion Kit. Order from there or scroll down that page a bit to find a link to click for a complete description.

If improving your shooting with your 1911is part of your preparedness strategy, but you don’t want to spend a lot of money on ammo, get the Tactical Solutions 2211 Conversion Kit. It will pay for itself in due time, and you’ll be glad you have such a useful accessory.
