Survival Health—Discover Herbal Remedies for Your Children

I’m glad to see that there are more books coming out all the time on alternative medicine. But there are so many to choose from it can be overwhelming. This week’s DestinySurvival Pick is a book on herbal medicine which has been around for about 15 years. What makes it unique is its emphasis on children’s health.

The ABC Herbal: A Simplified Guide to Natural Health Care for Children, by Steven Horne, was written by a parent himself, who has also been an herbalist for a couple of decades. He deals with common childhood illnesses and recommends remedies he used for his own family. What he shares isn’t merely theoretical or clinical.

If you’re concerned about the overuse of antibiotics and vaccinations given to children, buy The ABC Herbal and discover why other parents are using herbal remedies to keep their children healthy. One reviewer says it’s a must read for any parent and that Horne is an excellent teacher.

Here’s info about Steven Horne:

“Steven Horne, author of The ABC Herbal, is a gifted herbalist, writer and teacher who has lectured all over the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, England and Malaysia. Steven lives with his wife and children in Utah.”

  1. Gerald Franz had difficulty getting his comment through the system, and I agreed to publish it here on his behalf.

“I am now reading the ABC Herbal book you wrote about. I am very impressed by the author’s explanation on health and disease rather than just a list of problems and remedies. He says the body does the healing, so build up the body and its immune system. He has much to say about vaccinations too and lists books on the subject. He has contributed to a process for preparing remedies that I am eager to try. The book is intended as a guide to children’s health, but the principles he describes are profound and useful for everyone.”
