Get Guidance for Your Survival Camping with "Camping Life"

A local news story mentioned that state parks and camp sites are seeing a decline in attendance this season.  I have to admit I was surprised to hear that.  Granted, with gas prices up, many are changing priorities and becoming more frugal; but I thought more people might choose to camp out and do it in our own state close to home, instead of taking more costly vacations.

As you change your own lifestyle these days, don’t forget that camping provides terrific opportunities.  Survival Sam and I were just discussing the other day that camping is a great way to learn and practice survival skills, in addition to being a good way to take a family vacation.  You don’t need a lot of expensive gear and equipment.  In fact, click here to get the Camping Guy’s recommendations about that, especially if you’re considering camping for the first time.

Allow me to recommend “Camping Life” magazine to give you some guidance as well.  “Camping Life” is America's favorite family camping magazine.  Its eight issues per year are filled with informative articles on camping destinations, day hiking, canoeing, and kayaking.  “Camping Life” also provides outdoor enthusiasts with tests and reviews of tents, campers, RVs, and the latest in camping gear and accessories.  So, if you’re ready for camping adventure beyond your backyard, but don’t want to take a full blown, cross country vacation, click on the “Camping Life” magazine picture below, and start your subscription today at a significant discount.

Roseli A. Bakar @ 6:39 pm:

Since the price of fuel skyrocket all over the world, many campers decide to stay at home more.

In my country, more and more people are going for the public transport instead of driving their own vehicle.

I guess we will see more people camping in their back yard :)

John @ 7:12 pm:

Hey, as long as people take an interest in camping to bone up on minimalist living, that's good, no matter if it is in their backyards. As I stated in my post, I'm surprised even camping trips would take a hit from high fuel prices. It seems to me like a great alternative to flying to Disney Land or some such place.

Thanks for your comment, Roseli.
